At first splash, this buoyant Blood Orange driven Riesling exhibits the zing of a tart hard candy. On the palate, its feather-light touch leaves you refreshed with mineral and thyme notes to balance the candy-like aromas. While still young, reserve this wine for delicate dishes such as cool crab and melon salads or lightly poached lobster. If you can resist drinking every bottle upon release, aged selections of this wine will broaden and deepen into a complex melange of opulent citrus, floral and mineral aromas. At 3 to 5 years expect this vintage to stand up to richer foods such as wash rind cheeses and charcuterie.
