While not endowed with a lofty title such as CEO, President or Queen, Gina is quite possibly the most important person at Palmaz Vineyards. To be accurate, Gina is an Italian Greyhound, but she thinks she’s a person so who are we to argue.
Gina was born in April of 2001 in Davis, California. Spending her early months near one of the world’s most famous schools of Viticulture and Enology profoundly affected the direction of Gina’s life. It elicited a deep passion for the wine business that is evident to anyone who has seen her sniffing barrels or chasing interlopers through the vines.
Gina's favorite vacation spot is on the beach in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. (Fortunately, she is fluent in both Spanish and English so communicating with the locals is not a problem.) Her preferred food is grilled and shredded chicken breast, but she is also partial to table scraps when available. Her wine of choice is the Florencia Muscat Canelli.
A darling of the paparazzi, Gina was featured in Wine Dogs USA.
